Simon Bolivar is one of the most famous figures in Spanish History.
As a child through adulthood, he was extremely wealthy. He got most of his money from plantations from his other ancestors.
At age 19, he married Maria Teresa Rodríguez del Toro y Alaysa.
Bolívar returned to Venezuela in 1807, It was during this period that Bolívar wrote his Manifiestode Cartagena.
Simón Bolívar was in office from December 17 1819 – May 4, 1830.

In 1817, with Haitian soldiers and vital material support, Bolívar landed in Venezuela and captured Angostura. He decided to do this to abolish slavery and fight for independence for New Granada.
