Attributes & Abilities Creativity- they must be able to portray things in a believable way Memorization- They have to be able to memorize lines in short periods of time. Persistence- They must be able to accept rejection and keep trying to place another role. Physical Stamina- An actress must be able to endure small amounts of sleep, support heavy costumes, and hot stage lights. Reading and Speaking Skills- An actress must be able to say their lines loud, clear, and confident even if they are incorrect.

Duties of an Actress The duties of an actress consist of: • Reading scripts and meeting with directors and producers before accepting a role. • Audition for producers and directors. • Match with the personality of the character you’re tying to play. • Memorize all your lines in short periods of time
Duties Continued • Be able to rehearse lines with others. • Be able to discuss your role with others and be able to comprehend the meanings and ambitions of that character. • You must be able to perform your role while following the instructions of the director.
