  2. The Network • Established in 1966 • Now 32 FE Colleges across the North of England • Training/professional development for teachers/trainers in the Post- Compulsory Sector (PCET) • More than 2,100 students

  4. The Network • Mature and successful • Close working relationship between University and Colleges underpinning curriculum and delivery. Liaison tutors Network tutors meetings Summer School

Network… Quality • Curriculum and quality of learning experience the responsibility of University. • PCET Network manager • suitability/availability of learning materials/resources • common standards and equivalent experience • approval/development of tutors • monitoring of quality through Centre Committees • approval/reapproval of Centres • moderation

  6. Consortium CPCET • Established 2001 • Partnership between HE & FE • Shares resources/managerial responsibilities between member organisations • Draws on the distinctive, equally valuable contributions of both HE and FE.

  8. QAA 2001 • The big question: Do all students, wherever they are studying in the network, have the same quality of resource provision as the students at Huddersfield?
