  2. What Is TCI? TCI is a K-12 publishing company created by teachers, for teachers. We believe the best teaching marries great content, meaningful technology, and interactive classroom experiences. The end result — students of all abilities and learning styles succeed.

High School Program Goals • Teach students to think like historians. • Inspire students with memorable classroom activities. • Help teachers meet state and national standards. • Develop critical readers and skilled writers. • Make social studies an enjoyable and memorable class. • Build students’ social studies skills.

  4. Lesson: Antarctica Researching Climate Change at the Coldest Place on Earth In a Writing for Understanding activity, students explore how Antarctica is affected by world climate changes and why this unique land is ideal for the study of global warming.

  5. Lesson: Mount Everest: Climbing the World’s Tallest Physical Feature In an Experiential Exercise, teams of students assume the role of climbers on Mount Everest, discovering some of the challenges presented by this physical feature as they "ascend" the mountain.
