Oriente University Networkfacing the new part-time teaching modality Conclusions Oriente University (OU) has on the current course a registration record with more than 31 000 students, of them approximately 22 000 in the MAV . One of the most OUNet significant problems is the low bandwidth it has. Internet connection is a 512 Kbps Frame Relay with the ISP and a 512 Kbps Frame Relay connection with the MAV; we have nowadays 7880 registered users in the principal venue that makes navigation extremely slow. Now and increase of users amount would worsen this situation. Therefore we believe it is indispensable our intranet bandwidth optimization in order to improve the quality of our services.
