  2. How to Choose a Great Book • Pick books that grab your eye. • Does the cover look interesting? • Does the title grab your attention?

  3. Don’t judge the book by it’s cover alone!

  4. Browse Around… • Look at the displays around the library. • Do any books jump out at you?

  5. Hobbies and Interests • What are your favorite things to do outside of school? • What is your favorite subject in school? • How about reading a book about the answers you gave? • Ask your LMS if you need help!

  6. Folktales and Fairy Tales • Why not try a international or new version of your favorite folk or fairy tale?

  7. Authors and Illustrators • Who is the author and illustrator? • Do you recognize either? • Try reading other books by your favorite authors and illustrations!

  8. Take a peek inside… • Read the summary on the inside flap or the back cover. • Does it hold your attention?

  9. Take a closer look.. • Skim through the pages? • Do the text and pictures look interesting?
