Following the suggestion of the NEAREST Project leader, to invite several partners to a Workshop in Rabat in order to integrate Moroccan input into the different Project Workpackages, a call for participation to a NEAREST Workshop in Rabat and a field trip was launched for March 26- 31, 2008. The field trip was devoted to the presentation of new observations relevant to the Moroccan Atlantic coast and sampling in potential sites.

  2. Thus, the period from March 26 to 31, 2008 has been proposed, for a two-day Workshop to exchange and discuss data covering WPs of NEAREST on Morocco and 3 full days for the sampling and discussion of new field observations. As for sampling in potential sites, the suggestion of Pr. Zitellini to operate at least one drilling in a potential site of the Moulay Bou Selham lagoon, and another in a second site, was a relevant suggestion.
