Is it possible to burn Blu-ray to DVD?“ Some guys have been asking about burning Blu-ray to DVD. Since I happened to be working on that problem recently, I thought I’d whip up a tutorial on how to convert and copy Blu-ray to DVD. The below tutorial is about detailed solution on how to convert Blu-ray to DVD. It is a bit long, but covers 2 different useful ways to burn Blu- ray to DVD disc. Part 1: Rip Blu-ray and Burn to DVD Part 2: Copy Blu-ray to DVD Directly
Part 1: Rip Blu-ray and Burn to DVD Why did so many guys ask how to convert Blu-ray to DVD? Possibly because their computer comes with a DVD recorder drive only, there is just a DVD player available on their computer to play back their Blu-ray movies, or they would like to get a backup of their Blu-ray movies. Well, if you plan to play Blu-ray movies on DVD player or computer, you have to convert Blu-ray to DVD. Here comes the first solution: use a Blu-ray to DVD converter to convert Blu-ray to video for saving on computer hard drive, and then burn converted video to DVD disc with a Blu- ray DVD burner. #1. Rip and Convert Blu-ray to Video When it comes to the Blu-ray ripper to do the Blu-ray ripping, you can use Handbrake for free. For the detailed steps, please refer to ripping Blu-ray with Handbrake. Note that Handbrake can only convert Blu-ray to MKV and MP4 video. Plus, it’s unable to crack the Blu-ray copy protections and region code restrictions. Actually, the better Blu-ray to DVD converter for you is Leawo Blu-ray Ripper. It can help you rip and convert Blu- ray discs to HD/common videos in 180+ formats easily, obvious better than Handbrake that only saves Blu-ray movies in MP4 and MKV formats. Another advantage of Leawo’s Blu-ray Ripper superior to Handbrake is that it could decrypt and remove Blu-ray disc protections and break region code restrictions.
Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is quite easy to use for ripping Blu-ray to video. What you need to do is import the Blu-ray files, select the output format, then start Blu-ray to video converting. Some create DVD not compatible with DVD player.
