The below tutorial is about detailed solution on how to convert Blu-ray to DVD. It is a bit long, but covers 2 different useful ways to burn Blu- ray to DVD disc.   3. Part 1: Rip Blu-ray and Burn to DVD Why did so many guys ask how to convert Blu-ray to DVD? Possibly because their computer comes with a DVD recorder drive only, there is just a DVD player available on their computer to play back their Blu-ray movies, or they would like to get a backup of their Blu-ray movies. Well, if you plan to play Blu-ray movies on DVD player or computer, you have to convert Blu-ray to DVD. Here comes the first solution: use a Blu-ray to DVD converter to convert Blu-ray to video for saving on computer hard drive, and then burn converted video to DVD disc with a Blu- ray DVD burner. #1. Rip and Convert Blu-ray to Video When it comes to the Blu-ray ripper to do the Blu-ray ripping, you can use Handbrake for free. For the detailed steps, please refer to ripping Blu-ray with Handbrake. Note that Handbrake can only convert Blu-ray to MKV and MP4 video. Plus, it’s unable to crack the Blu-ray copy protections and region code restrictions. Click the wheel icon on the top-right corner and then open "Burn" tab to select DVD Video mode. 4. Finally, click the bottom "Burn" button on the popup sidebar to start converting Blu-ray video to DVD disc within this DVD Creator.

  7. Part 2: Copy Blu-ray to DVD Disc Directly Frankly speaking, the first solution is a little bit complicated as it requires a Blu-ray to video converter and Blu- ray DVD burner. It That’s also why I show you the second way, which is much easier-to-master since you only need one tool – Leawo Blu-ray Copy to complete the Blu-ray to DVD copy.   9. Step 3: Backup settings Click the big green “Copy” button. On the popup sidebar, set “Copy to”, “Disc Label” and “Save to” option. If you get an extra DVD/Blu-ray recorder drive plus your computer’s Blu-ray recorder drive, you could insert target DVD disc into the other blank disc recorder drive and then select it as target in "Copy to" option. If you only get one Blu-ray recorder drive, choose to copy Blu-ray to DVD ISO image file first. Step 4: Copy Blu-ray to DVD Click “Copy” button on the right sidebar to copy Blu-ray to DVD. If your computer has 2 Blu-ray recorder drives (or one Blu-ray recorder drive and one DVD recorder drive), Leawo Blu-ray Copy would help you directly copy Blu-ray to DVD disc. For most people who only have one Blu-ray recorder drive, select to create ISO image file in "Step 3" and then follow the below steps to further copy the created ISO image file to DVD disc.

Directly drag and drop created ISO image file from the directory you’ve set in “Save to” option in Step 3 (or click the drop-down arrow box next to the “Add Blu-ray/DVD” button and then select “Add iso file” to add created ISO file). Step 6: ISO to disc settings and burning On the popup “Add iso file” window, set Copy to and Disc Label options. Click the “Burn” button to start burning ISO image file to DVD disc.
