Functions of Draft System • To supply to the furnace the required quantity of air for complete combustion of fuel • To remove the gaseous products of combustion from the furnace and discharge these through chimney to the atmosphere

Natural Draught • Caused by a Chimney • Easy to construct • Has a long life • Needs no auxiliary power • Draught produced varies with weather conditions and temp of FG • No flexibility to create more draught to take care of peak loads
