  2. Syllabus • A good place to start is by adding your course syllabus for easy student reference • Simply click on the Syllabus tab, then click on “edit syllabus” • Angel makes it easy to cut and paste the components of your syllabus into defined fields

  3. The Calendar • The Calendar Feature You can choose to add all scheduled lectures, exams, trips, etc, into the calendar so its easily accessible to your students

  4. Adding Events • Click on “Add” and fill in the appropriate fields for you events

  5. Manage & Organize Your Content • Create Folders to organize all of the aspects of your course • This can be done under the “add content” menu

  6. Adding Content • Begin by creating folders • Suggestions: Lectures, Quizzes, Course Materials, Assignments

  7. Lectures • Include… • PowerPoint Presentations from class • Graphics, Images used in lectures • Links to Web Resources

  8. Assignment Drop Boxes • One drop box per assignment • Can limit students to only submitting one assignment per box • Can allow students to only view their own submissions

  11. Course Materials • This can be a valuable way to organize supplemental materials such as… • Student projects • Worksheets / PDFs • Web Resources

  12. Collaborative Space • Classes can be divided into groups • Groups can have their own forums in Angel to post text and materials to collaborate on group work or discuss course subject matter

  14. Attendance • The attendance feature is located under the resources tab • You can give the students a pin, to mark themselves present…or do it manually

  15. Preview Tool • The preview tool allows the user to change their view to see what the student will see Click on the “sunglasses” icon to change your view to preview mode

  16. Communicate The communicate tab allows you to send an email out to everyone in the course, and allows you to read messages students send to you through Angel

  17. Get Angel Messages Forwarded to Your PSU Email This can be done selecting the tools menu, then clicking on “System Settings”
