Consistency between amount of pension payment & frequency • EP078_?? question: typical payment of a pension last year • EP074_?? question: period covered by this payment • Check the consistency between these 2 variables • (e.g. there is a yearly amount & a monthly period) • Look at the typical annual amount (payment x frequency): • are there values too low/large? • Note: the univariate distribution for each variable can be ok ! 5. 3) Worker and income from work in the previous year EP005_ : current occupational status  worker EP204_ : annual income from employment last year EP206_ : annual income from self-employment last year About 20% of workers do not have any income from employment or self-employment ! 6. Many respondents answered in details to the current job questions, providing exact payment amount, frequency of payment, number of months of receiving the payment; they have working continuously since the last interview or the year of starting the job is before 2005  True workers ! A quick fix was done 2 weeks ago, but it doesn’t take into account additional payments ! Omar Paccagnella Data cleaning meeting February 7, 2008

7. Please : • check whether the country specific question could have been misunderstood; • using all information regarding current job, provide an estimate of the annual income (additional payments?); • for respondents who have not worked continuously in the previous year, using information on the spells for this estimate. • Be careful to the interviews done in January !
