Are you Ready? Next Steps… • Become a member of CAVR • Go to www.cavrcanada.org to download certification package or receive package from CAVR Certification Chair • Contact Certification Chair to receive an ID# and if you wish, request a Mentor! • Ensure all requirements are met in the certification criteria before proceeding • Send papers &application fee to CAVR Chair of Certification • Papers to be disseminated to CAVR markers • Must be postmarked no later than February 28th • Certification awarded at National Conference in the presence of your peers and colleagues!!
Tips for keeping on track • Keep anything related to your certification into a file for easy retrieval at a later date!! • Take a “Professional Development” record to every workshop you attend and get signature • Get involved in volunteer work either on a committee or a board! • Register “your intent” and get an ID# & mentor as this will commit you to keep on going!
