2014 AIA San Diego Design AwardsSubmission Instructions Slide Remove this slide before submitting . • PowerPoint Template for the Foundation Categories • Each project entry must submit a separate PowerPoint entry file that must not exceed 10 MB. • There are 5 Foundation Categories (Residential, Commercial, Interiors, Institutional, Mixed-Use), and up to 3 awards in each category. • Slide 1: Instruction purposes only and should NOT be included in the final submittal. • Slide 2: Project Information slide. This slide WILL NOT be seen by the jury. It is for AIA San Diego office purposes and will be removed from your presentation before reaching the jury. The project information slide must be the first slide of each presentation and shall contain ALL the information requested. • Slide 3: Award Entry. • Slide 4: Entry Presentation. • PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS: • Provide 5-15 image slides – NOT including the Project Information and Award Entry slides. • More than one image may be placed on each slide if desired. • DO NOT use slide transitions or animations in your submittal. If the name of the project is on the building and you can tell what the logo is, blur it out. • The right side of image slides can be used for a brief description of the image. Be concise and use non-script fonts with minimum 10pt type. • HOW TO SUBMIT ONLINE: • When you have completed your entry, go to the link below to send it to AIA San Diego: https://www.hightail.com/u/AIASanDiego • Once you have attached all the entry materials for the project, enter “DA-FC” and your project name in the subject line, click on “SEND.” • You should receive an email confirmation that your file has been sent. For Chapter use onlyEntry - Number ENTRY PRESENTATION Insert your image(s) within this 7” x 7” space. You may also use the whole slide. All floor plans and site plan should be oriented in the same direction in the presentation and the north arrow and a graphic scale be on all plans, and a graphic scale on building elevations and building sections. NOTE: Project authorship will remain concealed throughout the jury deliberations. If authorship is revealed on any of the photos, plans, slides, or narratives, the entry will be disqualified. This is the template for all image slides. The box that contains these instructions is to be used for a description if desired. Please replace the text as necessary, do not alter location or formatting. Place project drawings and photographs in this space. To insert images: (insert > picture > from file) To resize: select picture, then: (format > picture) You can include more than one picture on a slide. If the name of the project is on the building and you can tell what the logo is, blur it out. Please copy and paste this slide to accommodate additional images. You may have a maximum of 15 slides. AIASD will include a title page as needed.
