  1. Derek Schuelein Superintendent of Andover Central School District

  2. Derek Schuelein has been a high school educator for most of his life. He has a bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University, a master's degree and later received his Ed.D. from Manhattanville College in Educational Leadership, where he received the "Distinguished Dissertation Award."

  3. Derek Schuelein started his career at New York City's school Jane Addams CTE High School, later at Lindenhurst High School and then at Rye High School as a principal.

  4. Derek Schuelein’s duties involved developing and implementing school-wide remote and hybrid learning models, training teachers to use instructional technology, and helping the department to promote active and discovery-based learning.

  5. Apart from his experience, Derek Schuelein also earned different certifications, including the School Building Leader, Professional, School District Leader, Professional and Social Studies 7-12, Permanent Certificate. But, that is not all; he also has different professional affiliations and was part of panel discussions and workshops.

  6. Apart from that, Derek Schuelein also loves to spend his free time with his family and puts in a lot of effort to do the house chores. In addition, his interest lies in skiing, financial markets and professional literature in education.
