  2. Znanie Association A non-profit organisation for non-formal education of children and adults, found in 1990, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, offers activities in wide region of the western part of the country.

  3. Znanie is the Bulgarian word for Knowledge so we rely on the joint efforts of highly qualified experts and institutions in order to disseminate the achievements of the knowledge-based society and promote education, professional competencies, cultural awareness and citizenship in the context of Lifelong Learning.

  4. Znanie Association - main areas of activities: Non-formal education activities for all age groups: soft skills, ICT and foreign languages, vocational qualification Support for social services, capacity building for NGOs, international cooperation Analysis and Consulting Services

ZNANIE Association • Non-profit, non governmental organisation • Project – oriented services for lifelong learning (courses, seminars, conferences) - EU cooperation • Consultancy: Train of trainers, Capacity building programmes, Technical assistance • Collaboration with municipalities: deinstitutionalisation, support for providing social services Managing Board (7 people, elective) Full/part time administrative staff: 10 / 4 people Trainers, tutors, lecturers. experts, consultants: more than 150 people

Licensed by NAVET for qualifications in 5 vocational areas: • Management and Administration • Services: Tourism and Hotel management • ICT: Word-processing, Graphic Design • Gardening, Landscape • Light industry: Sewing, Knitting, Embroidery • Vocational training for unemployed (courses organised by Employment Services or projects financed by Phare and ESF) • Training for basic skills (ICT, foreign languages, communication) at workplace • Qualification of employed , incl. validation of skills gained at workplace

  8. ZNANIE Children Foreign Languages Center (Ltd.) • English for children (6 – 16) – long-term courses, multimedia • Preparation for Pitman and Cambridge Certificates • Additional activities: summer camps, language clubs… • Intergenerational activities, EU exchange (project – based)

AdminSoft (Ltd.) • Development and implementation of software for education: • Management Information systems for school administration • Management information system of the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria • Information system of the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training in Bulgaria • Multimedia educational software, self-assessment tools • Training of administrative staff in education (headteachers, school administration, municipalities, inspectorates, agencies) for using ICT in education and management information systems

  10. Znanie Association is the Certified Examination Center of the Telc GmbH for Bulgaria • Certification exams: levels A1, A2, B1, B2 • Languages: German, English, Spanish, French
