Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program • Administered by USDA to promote consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables for students K-8 • 51 schools participating in Arizona for 2009-2010 school year • Over 26,500 students across the state will participate in the program
AZNN’s role Identify nutrition education materials to supplement the program Present information to school personnel at ADE training Distribute materials to all participating schools Work with partners to assist schools in their efforts Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
