What is DACC? • A formal group of students from Class 5th to 9th who choose Civics/Citizenship • No forced membership – Only volunteers • 2 - 5 students per class • 1 Hour per week for activities • Facilitators are DACC members under the supervision of DA teacher • Only action/activity, no lecture • Motive is to create Alert, Informed, and Active young citizens for future

  3. How to open a dacc?

  4. Office Bearers-DACC President Vice-President Two teachers – at least one a Social Science teacher Members Secretary Treasurer

  5. Office Bearers-Functions • Preside meetings • Vote only in case of a tie • Represent the club • Perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to this office • Take approvals and decisions on activities, finances and Plan of action for club President • Preside in the absence of the President • Serve as chairperson of the Program Committee Vice -President

Office Bearers-Functions • Record the minutes of all meetings • Keep a file of the club’s records • Maintain a current roster of membership • Issue notices of meetings and conduct the general correspondence of the club Secretary • Receive all funds and process Request for Payment, Deposit Slip, and Officer Signature Forms. • Keep an itemized account of all receipts and expenditures and make reports as directed Treasurer

Office Bearers-Functions • Maintain an interface with the management / trustees of the activities and programs sponsored by the student club. • Meet on a regular basis with the Office bearers of DACC to discuss upcoming meetings, long range plans, goals, and problems of the club. • Attend meetings regularly. • Assist in the orientation of new officers. • Maintain contact with the DA Core Committee. • Provide direction in the area of parliamentary procedure, meeting facilitation, group-building, goal setting, and program planning. • Assist the club treasurer in monitoring expenditures, fundraising activities, and corporate sponsorship to maintain an accurate and up-to-date account ledger. • Inform club members of those factors that constitute unacceptable behavior on the part of the club members, and the possible consequence of said behaviors. • Regular feedback and Reports to DA programme team Teachers
