  4. The Preston young people’s planning group • Who we are • Preston Youth Council • Cardinal Newman College • House of Manchester

  5. What we have done • Met • Planned the conference • Set themes and planned workshop questions • Decided programme for the day • Decided on the food • Created Open Spaces for discussions with Adults • Gave direction about the whole conference • Decided on art work and gave guidance on website

  6. Why we did it • To see the views of different people in different countries and see how similar and different people are • See what people think of our country • To allow different cyp from diff countries to get together an interact in one place.

  13. But First…. • Before we move on the workshops we will: • Watch a video clip • Play some icebreakers • Have a discussion on the issue of the day

Video of the Day - Political • This video was sent to us yesterday by a group of young people who are in New York. • They are from 7 countries. • They are visiting the United Nations. • They want to change get the UN to pass a resolution ( a bit like a law) • About Children, Youth and Peace Building • http://www.dvigc.com/themes/political/
