  2. Thursday November 20, 2008 • 1973 bug I bought from Grimms to get my needed rear suspendation

  3. Thursday November 20, 2008 • I first had to remove this junked engine to get to the transaxle

  4. Thursday November 20, 2008 • Slid car to the rear and used the plasma cutter to cut out the needed parts

  5. Thursday November 20, 2008 • I jacked the transaxle up and added wheels & tires so as to roll the rear end into the garage

  6. Thursday November 20, 2008 • I had to jack one side at a time to get the tires on but it worked ok

  12. Saturday November 22, 2008 • I took a Harley Davidson Golf cart that looked like this on except it was white in color and had a blown engine and took parts from it

  14. Saturday November 22, 2008 • I cut off the Harley front suspendation and removed the front fork assembly

  15. Saturday November 22, 2008 • This is the front part of the Harley frame • I have a level on it as I get prepared to tack the Suzuki front fork to it

  16. Saturday November 22, 2008 • I cut the front end off the Suzuki here as to have the Identification stamp on the front fork and bearing assembly

  17. Saturday November 22, 2008 • Here are the pieces of high strength steel tubing I purchased from Briggs welding over to Charlestown, West Virginia

  19. Monday November 24, 2008 • I got this hunk of steel from Briggs when I got the steel tubing and as it was ½ inch thick I had them (Briggs) burn out the notch as my plasma cutter works best to 3/8 of an inch

  20. Monday November 24, 2008 • Here the Transaxle is waiting for the adapter plate • It will be trimmed back another 2 inches and squared up so as to fit flat against the transaxle suspendation

  22. Monday November 22, 2008 • Suspendation has been trimmed and the plate is now fitted and will be securely welded in place

  23. Tuesday November 25, 2008 • I have a level on the front brake disk and I have it level after adjusting the tack weld

  35. Thursday November 27, 2008Thanksgiving day • I got the Dodge Omni bucket seats from the attic and laid a creeper across the frame to see what my project would look like

  38. Thursday November 27, 2008Thanksgiving day • I thought about it all day while eating turkey and fixings • Got to have the rear seat at least 8 inches higher so the rider could see out over the head of the driver

  39. Friday November 28, 2008 • I was up all night and found this busted engine on Craig's List for $100 called the man found out the address and decided to go for it

  40. Friday November 28, 2008 • Chance and I drove the Nissan all the way to Pasadena Maryland • It was on the east side of Baltimore, Md. • We could see the Chesapeake Bay from where we were

  41. Friday November 28, 2008 • We took 2 hours to drive there arriving about 3 pm • I remembered the truck taillights were not working so we had to leave quick to get back before dark

  42. Friday November 28, 2008 • We came home fast to avoid dark. • Brake lights on the truck were working ok this day

  43. Sunday November 30, 2008 • This is the one half of the engine from Grimms • Going after the good parts

  44. Sunday November 30, 2008 • Here is the other half of the Grimm engine • I took out a good connecting rod, Bearing and all 4 pistons with the cylinders

  45. Sunday November 30, 2008 • Here is the engine I tore it down and replaced the rod that had lost its bolts and nut and put it all back together before 3 am Monday morning

  46. Sunday November 30, 2008 • She sure looks good now • I am waiting on the new j pipes to replace the heater boxes that are not needed

  48. Sunday November 30, 2008 • I know this 60 horsepower engine will purr like a tomcat when cranked up to 4000 rpm • We should be able to keep up with traffic !!!

  49. Monday December 1, 2008 • Looking closely you see the 3 pedals clutch , brake, & throttle • Found 65 Chevy Impala pedals in back shed, Cut them down and welded up brackets I ordered new pedal pads for the clutch and brake

  50. Monday December 1, 2008 • The master cylinder from a 76 ford van converted to a pull linkage instead of push • Notice the ½ inch steel linkage plate
