  2. Let’s help your child reach 3 goals this year. • Encouraging your child to enjoy reading. • Helping your child to be as responsible as can be. • Making your child aware that he can solve real-world problems.

  3. Homework Policy • Homework folder should come home daily. (special pages to look for) • Check over his homework with him. Does he have proper pencils and paper? • He should read every night his AR book whether we have homework or not.

  4. Discipline Policy Classroom rules are very basic. Rewards for good behavior on Fridays. 1st time a rule is broken – student pulls green slip and signs Sad Pad. 2nd time a rule is broken – student pulls yellow slip and signs Sad Pad. 3rd time a rule is broken – student pulls red slip and signs Sad Pad. Students signing Sad Pad 3x in a week = detention on that Friday. A white slip and a letter will come home. Conduct grade lowered. 6 x in 6 weeks on SP = white slip and detention. Conduct grade is lowered again.

  5. Supply List Lunch Money Book Orders When book order forms come home, please fill out form and send money by the day requested. Pay to SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB if you do not send cash. Thank you! • Put in an envelope with child’s name , lunch number, and teacher’s name • Try to only send money on Monday. It could get lost if they forget to hand it in.

  6. Extra Classroom Supplies The Giving Tree Treasure Box Any small toys that your child does not want, please send to school. We will use them as rewards! Thank you! Please pick a paper apple off our giving tree for class supplies. Your child will bring them for us all to use. We will discuss sharing with others and read the book The Giving Tree. Thank you!
