What does the animal look like? The red eyed frog have bright red eyes and are a bright color green with blue and yellow stripped sides . They also have webbed orange toes. The tree frog is as big as a tea cup. Being green helps the red-eyed tree frog blend in with leaves. Physical Characteristics
Behavioral Characteristics • The tree frog move with his long legs and sticky feet. • The tree frog survives by having a third eye lid that allows the frog to close his eyes but still allows him to see so he can get away from predators. • The frogs red eyes allow them to see good at night.
Habitat • They are found in tropical rainforest from Mexico, throughout Central America, and in northern South America. • Red eyed tree frog shelter in trees, where they stick to leaves. • The red eye tree frog lives alone.
Diet The red eye tree frog eats crickets,flies,and moths . They have a long sticky tongue to quickly grab its food. They find there food at night.
Facts • The red eye tree frog is known as the “Monkey” frog because it lives in trees and can jump and climb good. • When they are born they are brown and turn green as they grow • There red eyes can see in almost every direction. • They are not poisonous and make wonderful pets.
