Task 2: Developing Partnerships • RADAM - Liason with RADA M Contact A Solovyov (Chair) Innsbruck (IDEADB) developed and linked to VAMDC site 2013 http://ideadb.uibk.ac.at/ • Other data bases on ion scattering ( B Huber) and electron ( G Garcia) due in 2014 RADAM Board meetings on database Madrid December 2013 and Gdansk May 2012 • Co-AUTHOR of paper on database • Plasma LXCAT database • Attending GEC in Princeton next week • Europlanet- Citizen science – discussion with Amateur astronomers (David A will attended tomorrow showed Portal demonstration to session - let them play • H2020 briefing --- Outreach in space science

  5. Task 2: Developing Partnerships • Academic publishers • IOPP – Disengaged since November (J Phys B) • Springer – EPJD Tom Spicer arriving today and presentation tomorrow • RSC – PCCP Editor Expressed interest Daniella Goldfarb Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel

Task 3: Developing a global A+M e-infrastructure South Africa Visit by Derckto OU 2013 India (Meeting November 2013) ; Emolmeetings on electron data reviews Presentations /demos of VAMDC Water; Biomolecules; (THF) Plasma flurocarbons (CF3I and C2F4) , Nitrogen planned (Dec) Methane review with korea 2014 Planned N20 SO2/O3 and Biomolecules; Plasma flurocarbons • Task 4 : Practical aspects of Open Science Model Task 4 will also address the longer term sustainability of both VAMDC and the legacy of SUP@VAMDC.

  7. Task5: Annual Meetings First meeting held at OU Sept 2013 NOTE Opened talks on H2020 options for VAMDC as part of space call -- Europlanet OUTREACH bid (todays talks!) NEOs (IDIS) Mars (More IDIS but ? VAMDC) Space Weather (VAMDC ?) Comets (VAMDC ??) .

  8. WP3 connection to wider audience • Chemical cosmos and Lassie -- Presented and tutorial • RADAM – As discussed ongoing • Europlanet – outreach/citizen scientists – USERS ? H2020 • Plasmas – GEC and EU Japan and new Cost Action Plasma in liquids (has database statement - VAMDC)

  9. WP3 connection to wider audience • Teachers and schools – talk tomorrow from OU side • Need materials (tutorials very useful) • UK at EPSC/NAM • Arrange with Koeln in 2014 ! • H2020 bid for space outreach --- Schools programme (April 2014)

  10. WP4 Extension to Regional partners • India meeting in November – under development • Aimed at data producers and users on 21st and 22nd Nov. 2013 at the Institute of Plasmas Research (IPR) at Ahmedabad. This will be just after the three day conference on AMO Science organized by the Indian Society for Atomic and Molecular Physics (ISAMP) at the same venue • 2 Indian colleagues (Minaxi and Chetan) visited OU when attending technical workshop in Cambridge to develop database. • D Smits visited OU for a week

  11. WP4 Extension to Regional partners • Second India meeting 2014 • Australian links to develop (EU collaborative actions)
