Advocacy for Policy Development / Changes SAIEVAC developed the DRAFT regional action plan for the Elimination of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation including Online Exploitation in consultations with CSOs. ASEAN adopted RPA on VAC in 2015, which included CSOs’ inputs to ensure its alignment with UNCRC and OPs.

Child Participation The first time children and young people took part in the Cross-Regional Roundtable. They had the opportunity to discuss and share their inputs on child protection themes including online violence, abuse, and the empowerment and participation of children to prevent and address incidents of violence.

Mapping on children and youth groups (to be continued/completed) • The mapping shows that very few child groups are available in SAARC: most of them have been established by NGOs trying to integrate child participation in their programming. • Youth groups are more common.
