  2. Fun Facts • Penguins CANNOT fly even though they have wings • The fastest penguin can swim up to 22 mph! • Their “tuxedo” skin is used to be camouflaged into the water to protect them from predators • They don’t have teeth like humans do • There are 17 different types of penguins

  3. Penguins’ Diet • Penguins are carnivores • Penguins kill their own food • They eat things like: • Krill • Squids • Fishes

  4. Penguins’ Habitat • Penguins are found almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere • where they catch their food underwater and raise their young on land • They live in colder areas • Penguins need the frozen weather to live

  5. Types of Penguins • There are 16 different types of penguins • Each species belongs to a larger grouping of closely related species known as a genus • Most of them look alike but you can tell the differences between them • They are all related
