  3. PASSING JUDGMENT??? • Matt 7:1-5 – “Judge not, that you may not be judged…” • First, we should consider our own faults • Secondly, Jesus does not forbid judging • Thirdly, our purpose is not finding faults • Jn 7:24 – “Judge with righteous judgment”

  4. UNRIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT • Rom 2:1-3: Condemning others, but not ourselves • Rom 14:10-13: Judging matters of opinion • 1Cor 4:3-5: Judging with insufficient knowledge • Jas 4:11-12: Judging in God’s place • Jn 17:24: Judging by appearance

  5. RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT • Jn 12:47-48: Judge by Christ’s words • Jas 2:1-9: Consistent in judgment • Prov 18:13: We listen before we judge • Jas 2:13: We show mercy in judgment • Jn 17:24: We judge with righteous judgment
