This is Mount St. Helens. It was one of the worst volcanic eruptions in mankind. The debris from it took a long period of time to clear the area.
A bulge formed on the north side of Mount Saint Helens. Magma pushed up within the bulge. The bulge was growing 5 feet per day.
The eruption sent volcanic ash to a height of 60,000 feet. Native Americans call it “Louwala Clough.” The volcano is about 9,600 feet above sea level.
Fifty seven people died. Two hundred houses got damaged. Today It reclaimed it’s beauty.
