About Me… Mrs. Noble Originally from Belleville, Ontario Attended McGill University; Bachelor of Science in English Literature & Psychology Completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto Lived in Korea where I taught ESL This is my 9th year with the Halifax Regional School Board; last year I was at Sackville High, the year before I was at C.P.A. I have two children: Maia (5) and Milo (3)

Course Syllabus Highlights • Focus: critical reading, writing, & thinking about literature • Reading Expectations: • Read everything (time management!) • Read critically • Complete assigned readings before class • Understand that I do not have THE answer, nor is there likely to be THE answer. We will be seeking possible answers together.
Course Syllabus Highlights • Writing Expectations: • Always work on creating your best work • Always strive to develop your writing • Understand that writing is a process and willingly participate in that process • Follow MLA formatting on all assignments and use MLA citations (handout & website)
Our Classroom • Be respectful of the space. • Cell phones and electronics • Should not interrupt your learning or anyone else’s • Quickly, discreetly, educational • Success in your courses requires ACTIVE listening and participation.

Policies & Procedures to Support Learning • Extra Help: Make an appointment or drop in to see me whenever you need extra support. I will be available before school, after school, at lunch, and in Period 4 as often as possible. • Rewrite Policy: • You may resubmit a revised version of any essay within one week of the date it was returned. Your essay will be regraded; you will be awarded full value for the revised essay.
