Jamming threat to O&G wireless links For communication, Oil & Gas offshore platforms deploy Point to Point Digital Microwave, VSAT links, Troposcater links & VHF Audio links Signal Jamming is a significant threat which cause the breakage or disruption of the wireless link between the platform and the outside world Enforcement Agencies like Police & Customs report that crime syndicates are already using Jammers to thwart enforcement operations All types of Jammers are easily available now. FBI considers Jamming as a bigger threat than the Viruses, Worms and Trojans in a Wireless world.
