How the school came to be 1822: pioneers built a crude cabin of round logs After abandoned, a hewn log cabin was built near Methodist Cemetery 1855: first two-room structure at the corner of Oak and Sale street 1872: two-story brick structure 1963: Ellettsville and Stinesville schools were combined 1964: first graduating class
Founders of Ellettsville Edward, David, and Samuel Ellett Was founded in 1837 but first school in 1822 All are buried in Presbyterian Cemetery No decendents left with surname Ellett since Edward’s son had daughters
