Task 2d All you need to do is prove that you can send an email WITH an attachment to multiple people. • Open your email • Compose an email to more than one person • Make sure you follow the four simple steps on the next slide. • Take a screen shot before you send it. • Make sure you do send it.

  3. Sending an email to more than one recipient TASK All you need to do is prove you can send an email to multiple people 1. Make sure you put two peoples email addresses into the ‘To’ box 3. Add the attachment 2. Make sure you add a sensible subject – it should ideally be one word to give an indication of what the email is about 4. Write a sensible message that looks and sounds professional. Don’t forget CAPTITAL letters, commas, etc

  4. Task 2e Prove that you can receive an email WITH an attachment. • Ask a friend to send you an email with an attachment. • Open your email. • Click on the email that they sent to you. • Take a screen shot of the email. • Move on to Task 2f

  5. Receiving an email 1. You need to show that you have received an email with an attachment 2. On the next slide you need to prove that you can open the attachment

Task 2f – part a Prove that you can receive an email WITH an attachment, open it AND save the attachment to your user area. • Open the email with the attachment. • Right-mouse click and choose ‘open’ (take a screen shot to show doing this). • Take another screen shot to show the opened attachment. Look at the following slide as an example.

Task 2f – part b Prove that you can receive an email WITH an attachment AND save the attachment to your user area. • Open the email with the attachment. • Right-mouse click and choose ‘save as’ (take a screen shot to show doing this). • Save the file into your Unit 1 AO2 folder (take a screen shot to show you doing this) • Take another screen shot to show where you saved the file. Look at the following slide as an example.

I right mouse clicked and pressed ‘save as…’ 3. Take a screen shot to prove that you actually saved the file into your area. Here is the saved file

  10. Task 2g – part a Prove that you can forward an email. • Open an email. • Click on FORWARD • Add an appropriate message. • Take a screen shot to show the email TIP – make sure you have a business like message. Look at the following slide as an example.

  11. Appropriate use of ‘Forward’ You need to prove that you can forward an email. Open an email that you have received and then forward it onto some one else BUT… Don’t for get to write a sensible message to the person. You don’t need to change the subject. Copy someone else into the email if you want to prove you can cc someone in.

  12. Task 2g – part b Prove that you can reply to an email. • Open an email. • Click on REPLY • Add an appropriate message. • Take a screen shot to show the email TIP – make sure you have a business like message. Look at the following slide as an example.

  13. Appropriate use of ‘Reply’ You need to prove that you can reply to an email. Open an email that you have received and then press reply… Don’t for get to write a sensible message to the person. You don’t need to change the subject.

  14. Task h Go back and check that all the screen shots for the email evidence contain an appropriate message and subject.

  15. Task I You need to explain the risks of opening emails with attachments and then explain what actions can be taken to protect yourself.   16. Risks of receiving and opening email attachments On this slide you need to write down the dangers of receiving and opening attachments. Ask for a help sheet, read it and then put it into your OWN words.
