  2. MISSION The mission of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is to support and protect theU.S. Postal Service and its employees, infrastructure, and customers; enforcethe laws that defend the nation’s mail system from illegal or dangerous use; andensure public trust in the mail.

  3. Areas of Investigations: • Child Exploitation • Dangerous Mail • Mail Fraud • Mail Theft and Identity Theft • Money Laundering • Prohibited Mail • Security • Workplace Violence (Assaults and Threats)

  4. Postal Inspector Assistance • Accessing records related to US Mail and addresses for investigations • Obtaining Federal Search Warrants for US Mail containing illegal narcotics • Crime Prevention (elderly, identity theft, scams) • Arrest Warrants for postal employees
