  2. Writing with Adverbs A word that describes a verb is an ADVERB. Some adverbs answer the question “how?” The dog barked LOUDLY. The tiger waits PATIENTLY. The girl sits QUIETLY.

  3. Adverbs that tell Where and When. Some adverbs answer the question “Where?” It has beautiful pictures INSIDE. Some adverbs answer the question “When?” Let’s travel to the beach TODAY.

  4. Preposition or Adverb?! Adverbs describe the verb. He ran outside. Prepositions describe the noun. He was outside the classroom.
