  2. Expectations of Trainees • Student Attendance • Students will attend class as scheduled. Unconfirmed roster changes that increase the size of the class will not be accepted without approval from the TMG Training SETS group or the Instructor. Students will give the same commitment as if they were going out of town to attend this class. • Be Punctual • Attend on-time every day of class, and keep to the agreed break-times. • Switch handphones/pagers to “vibrate” mode • Return calls and pages only during your breaks • For any Urgent need where you are required to be “On-Call,” inform the instructor at the start of class to get buy-in in advance. • Focus and participate in class • The instructor is not expected to retrain class objectives for students that do not attend 100% of the class and hands-on equipment training. • Ground Rules for Operational Unit Manager’s (OUMs) • Arrange for adequate coverage to allow the students to completely focus on the training in order to maximize their training time.

  3. Expectations of Instructor • Collaborate with Students on Ground Rules & define: • Time for tea/coffee and lunch breaks. Recommendation: • Take tea break where the class is being held. • Have the lunch break where the class is being held or the nearest cafeteria. • Review any request from Students regarding the need to be “On-Call” due to line support needs or emergency. Inform student of decision. • Inform Site Training Coordinator (STC) of any additional room setup needs once class schedule is confirmed. • For any administrative issues (eg. - venue, room temperature or setup, materials) contact the STC (details slide 4-6). • If STC is not available, please contact Training Officers who are stationed on their respective campus (details slide 4-6). • For any escalation with regards to Ground Rules violation, please refer to the class sign-in sheet or Managers contact list (details slide 4-6). Also notify the Training Officer on the next break. • The Instructor will return equipment used for training to the factory in the same operating status that it was received.
