The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • Enhanced Mode : Parts Counting • APW Enhancement -- • The Adventurer Pro allows the user to turn-on automatic recalculation of the average piece weight (APW Optimization) -- this is the same function as found in Trooper Count and Ranger Count • Without Optimization, the APW is the average of the weight of the sample, divided by the number of pieces in the sample -- if the user needs a sample of 100, they have to count by hand 100 pieces! • With Optimization, the APW is the average of the weight of the initial sample as well as any subsequent samples -- the user can reach a sample of 100 by adding parts on the pan 10 at a time, increasing accuracy!

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • Enhanced Mode : Parts Counting • APW Enhancement -- • APW Enhancement is turned-on in the MODE-COUNT Menu by setting “APWOPT” to on • The Adventurer Pro will recalculate the APW as long as two criteria are met: • The weight of the new sample is less than or equal to the weight currently on the pan -- if it is more, the Adventurer Pro will not perform an APW recalculation • The weight and platform are stable • Sample Sizes -- • The Adventurer Pro allows the user to change the sample size with a press of the Print/Unit button

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • Enhanced Mode: Parts Counting • This mode is enabled by turning-on “COUNT" in the MODE Menu • To use mode: • Press and hold Function button until “COUNT” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will then flash “CLEAR APW?” • Press No button to use stored APW and begin parts counting • Press Yes button to establish a new APW • Balance will display weight and flash “PLACE 10” • To select a different sample size, press No button • Place specified pieces on pan and press Function button to accept • Balance will calculate APW, then display total pieces and total weight • To view APW, press Function button (APW will momentarily appear on line 2 of LCD) • To reset APW, press and hold Function button until “COUNT” is displayed again

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Percentage Weighing • This mode allows the user to display the weight of a sample as a percentage of a reference weight • The reference weight is placed on the pan first, and equals 100% • Each reference weight will be a percentage from 1% to x%, depending on the Capacity X Readability of the scale -- most users will use 1% to 200% at the most • Applications: Formulation and compounding, weight checking

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Percentage Weighing • This mode is enabled by turning-on “PERCENT” in the MODE Menu • To use mode: • Press and hold Function button until “PERCENT” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will then flash “CLEAR REF?” • Press No button to use stored reference and begin percentage weighing • Press Yes button to establish a new 100% reference • Balance will display weight and alternate between “PERCENT” & “PUT SAMPLE” • Place reference weight on pan and press Function button to accept • Balance will calculate and display 100% and total weight • To view 100% reference weight, press Function button (reference weight will momentarily appear on line 2 of LCD) • To reset 100%, press and hold Function button until “PERCENT” is displayed again

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Check Weighing • This mode allows the user to check the weight of a sample against a preset target • Under and Over values are entered manually • The display automatically displays “UndEr”, “ACCEPt”, “OVEr” and total weight of sample • Applications: Quality control, weight checking

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Check Weighing • This mode is enabled by turning-on “CHECKWEIGH” in the MODE Menu • To use mode: • Press and hold Function button until “CHECKWEIGH” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will then alternate between “CHECKWEIGH” and EDIT REF?” • Press No button to use stored values and begin check weighing • Press Yes button to establish a new “UndEr” value • Use No button to change flashing digit • Use Yes button to accept and advance to next digit • Use Yes button accept entered value (flashing) • Press Yes button to establish a new “OVEr” value • Use No button to change flashing digit • Use Yes button to accept and advance to next digit • Use Yes button accept entered value (flashing) • To reset values, press and hold Function button until “CHECKWEIGH” is displayed again

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Animal (Dynamic) Weighing • This mode allows the user to weigh small animals and filters out animal movements • This mode provides the user with 3 operating modes: Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Manual. • This mode provides the user with 3 filter levels: 5, 10 & 15 seconds • Animal/Dynamic weighing can work with most weighing units • The Adventurer Pro will display the filtered value on line 1 of LCD and alternate between “ANIMAL” and “HOLD” on line 2 of LCD • Applications: Vibration filtering, research, drug testing

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Animal (Dynamic) Weighing • This mode is enabled by turning-on “ANIMAL” in the MODE Menu • Either manual, semi-automatic or automatic modes can be selected by setting “AnIMAL” to “MANUAL”, “SEMI” or “AUTO” • Filter levels can be selected by setting “LEVEL” to “SET 5 SEC”, “SET 10 SEC” or “SET 15 SEC” • To use mode (set to “MANUAL”): • Press and hold Function button until “ANIMAL” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will alternate between “ANIMAL” and “READY” • Place animal on the pan and press Function button take a measurement • Balance will display filtered value on line 1 and alternate between “ANIMAL” and “HOLD” on line 2 of LCD • Remove load from pan and press Function button to clear filtered value

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Totalization • This mode allows the user to sum a series of weights -- up to the limit of the display • Weights can be added (totalized) either manually or automatically • Totalization can work with most weighing units • Once you are in Totalization, you can change weighing units without exiting Totalization • The Adventurer Pro will show the current weight on the pan on line 1 of the LCD and alternate between “TOTALIZE” and totalized weight on line 2 of LCD • Applications: Formulation and compounding, parts kitting Σ Totalization

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Totalization • This mode is enabled by turning-on “TOTALIZE” in the MODE Menu • Either manual or automatic totalization can be selected by setting “tOtAL” to “AUTO” or “MANUAL” • To use mode (set to “MANUAL”): • Press and hold Function button until “TOTALIZE” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will alternate between “TOTALIZE” and zero weight (no measurement stored to memory) • Place a weight on the pan and allow balance to stabilize • Press Function button to add the weight to the total • Remove weight from pan and continue as desired or until display limits are exceeded • To change weighing unit, press and hold Unit button • To clear total, press and hold Function button until “TOTALIZE” is displayed again Σ Totalization

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro • New Mode: Totalization • To use mode (set to “AUTO”): • Press and hold Function button until “TOTALIZE” is displayed on line 2 of LCD • Display will alternate between “TOTALIZE” and zero weight (no measurement stored to memory) • Place a weight on the pan • Upon stabilization, weight will flash and be automatically added to the total • Remove weight from pan and continue as desired or until display limits are exceeded • To change weighing unit, press and hold Unit button • To clear total, press and hold Function button until “TOTALIZE” is displayed again Σ Totalization
