The Goals of Little League • To help children develop citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well being through sports • To help children learn their own strengths and weaknesses, the meanings of sportsmanship and cooperation, the essence of competition, and the qualities that constitute effective leadership

SWFLL Highlights • 1963 -- First year of operation • 1974 -- First year girls play softball at SWFLL • 1974 -- First boys Majors team to win a state title • 1975 -- First girl plays baseball at SWFLL • 1982 -- First year at Poindexter complex • 2002 -- First Majors team to play in Little League World Series • 2012 – SWFLL Challenger team (for children with physical and/or mental disabilities) goes to play Rhode Island in Williamsport

  5. SWFLL complex consists of two parcels of land, one on Dillon Industrial Drive & one on Topsider Drive. We offer: - 9 Baseball & Softball Fields - 6 Outdoor Batting Cages - Indoor Batting/Fielding Complex - Concessions Facility - 2 Outdoor pavilions SWFLL Complex hosts regular season & Tournament games 10 months a year. 27012 Demographic Data: Population 25,461 (9928 Households) Median Income - $73,963 Median Age – 38.6 (Based on 2010 census data uszip.com)

  6. 87 Spring and Fall League Teams in 2012-2013 with 950 players • 2012-2013 park attendance reached 200,000 people • Travel ball tournament growth up over 100% • Number of travel ball teams (non SWFLL) playing at our complex -197 • Host Site for District and State level All-Star Tournaments • SWFLL Complex supports and accommodates local baseball play from: • Calvary Baptist Day School • Clemmons Middle School • Meadowlark Middle School

Core Spring and Fall Play 2013 • Spring and Fall Ball consists of over 950 players • Our complex is used 10 months of the year, February through November • Our Registration fees have maintained consistent for the last 8 years • We host numerous post season tournaments including All Stars and the Winter World Series

Travel Ball at Southwest Forsyth LL • Our travel ball has grown every year since its inception in 2011 • The majority of the teams that play are local but some come from as far as Virginia, the Mountains of NC and East to Raleigh • Traditional Tournaments are two day, Saturday and Sunday • Benefits to our Community • Local Businesses benefit from the hotel stays, dining and shopping • Our Village benefits from the additional tax revenue • What are Our Needs? • New and Repaired Lighting • Concrete Work at Main Entrance • Numerous Maintenance Projects
