This training equips managers with the skills needed to navigate the Performance Management system, assign evaluations, complete appraisals, and set development goals effectively. Learn how to log in, use menus, and manage tasks efficiently.

Learning Objectives • By the end of this training, managers will be able to: • Log in to the Performance Management system • Navigate the menus and task list • Assign multi-rater evaluations • Complete and submit an evaluation • Create and assign individual development goals
Performance ManagerLogging In to the System • Links on IKE and HR Portal • Use Network ID and Password • Enter ID as Elliot\username
Performance Manager Menus and Task List Your information Employee List Default view = Task List (Access from My Folder>Tasks)
Performance Manager Task List • Due date – changes to red when overdue • Some tasks include subtasks – click arrow to expand • Icons indicate status of subtasks (see legend)
Performance Manager E-Mail Reminders • For annual appraisals: • Managers = 60, 30 and 15 days prior • Staff = 60, 45 and 30 days prior • BOTH = daily reminders after due date if still incomplete

Performance Manager Completing Manager Appraisals • Select a rating for each item • REMINDER: ND and DP require comments • Click comment icon to add to a QP rating
Performance Manager Completing Manager Appraisals • Utilize the “floating toolbar” to: • Save your work • Spell-check • Access employee’s file to view previous appraisals, goals, and any documents you’ve attached • Print or save to pdf • Switch between manager view and employee view
Performance Manager Completing Manager Appraisals • If employee has completed self-appraisal, will see their rating and comments • If multi-rater(s) have completed, will see their rating and comments • To copy comments from the employee and/or a multi-rater, click the copy link. • NOTE: Only you can see the multi-rater appraisals and comments. If you copy text, the employee will only see what’s copied and not the commenter’s name.
Performance Manager Submitting Manager Appraisals • Once your appraisal is complete, click Save and Send • Routing window appears. • Choose your business partner from dropdown list. • When business partner reviews and accepts, will appear on your task list again. Open task and click Save and Send to send to employee. • Review together and have the employee sign off.
