  2. Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration is, in Veneto, a high-tech production that highlight the ability of this territory to develop productive “niches” of great value. The first settlements in the region date back early 60s and evolved through the 70s, when these local companies became exporters. This productive niche represents a product and service system involving large companies and small business. HVAC and Refrigeration in Veneto

  3. Two macro areas of production. Air conditioning. Commercial and industrial refrigeration. HVAC and Refrigeration: common features • One common technological layout.

  7. Background Clear identification of a regional based productive sector. Clear identification of a provincial based System- Territory (PST). Definition of a three years Strategic Action Plan for industrial development – Cluster Development Plan (CDP). Plan of investment to sustain proposed CDP activities.

  8. The Cluster The Venetian Cluster for Air Conditioning and Industrial Refrigeration was founded in 2003. The Cluster gathers today a total number of 110 companies with high technological background and world market leadership, distributed through the Region. 11 public organization support the cluster.

  9. New strategy for growth For all these companies, be a member of the cluster means: Be one actor for local economic development. Become partner of local institutions. Apply strategy for repositioning and process reconfiguration. Develop strategic/integrated projects. Joint risk undertaking. Sharing of efforts/resources. Improve the capability to attract public funding. Offer a contribution to local policy maker for industrial development
