Navy Football Parking – Recent History • The success of Navy Football has translated into higher demand for parking • As a result of neighborhood and traffic issues in 2002 and 2003, pre-paid parking only was implemented in 2004 • In an effort to provide a pleasant experience for all, directed parking was encouraged but not mandated to the arriving guests which lead to: • Parking spots being reserved for tailgating:
The drive lanes were blocked by tailgates which restricted emergency vehicle access and left available spaces open:
Too much space between cars was left which took away available parking spots:
Parking Plan for 2009 • Initial plan was developed during the 2008 season as issues were being addressed • Following the season a committee was formed to finalize the plan over several months of analysis • The committee comprised of representatives from: • NAAA • Parole Rotary (game-day parking staff) • - City of Annapolis
Parking Plan for 2009 • Parking lots open 6 hours prior to Kick-Off – 9:30 AM for 3:30 PM Kick-Offs • Perimeter Tailgaters can request earlier entrance through John Latteri • Directed parking for all cars to begin when parking gates open • Perimeter Tailgaters to receive special passes • Parking Lots to be divided into Areas • Blue Side asphalt parking accessible through Gates 2 and 5 • Blue Side Grass parking accessible through Gates 3, 3 A and 4 only • Gold Side north end accessible through Gate 1 • Gold Side south end accessible through Gate 7 • If you want to park in Area 3, for example, you need to enter at Gate 3

Perimeter Tailgater Specific Info • Blue Side • Special Perimeter Tailgate Parking Passes available for purchase • # per spot available based upon how you use your spot • If needed, we will reserve one parking spot in the general lot adjacent to your tailgate location • If necessary, at Kick-Off any unused parking spots in the general lot to be filled with cars • Trailers are OK but must be parked within your tailgate spot and not in the parking lot
Perimeter Tailgater Specific Info • Gold Side • Special Perimeter Tailgate Parking Passes available for purchase • Able to purchase the # of spaces in front of your spot for vehicles to park • All tailgates to set-up off of the asphalt area • If necessary, at Kick-Off any unused parking spots to be filled with cars • Trailers will be allowed if your location will allow for a trailer to be positioned off of the asphalt
Perimeter Tailgater Specific Info • If needed you may request early entry into the parking lot for tailgate set-up • Fee for this season = $300 (6 games) • Directed parking in the general parking lot will prevent cars from being parked in your tailgate spot
