  37. Product Structure/Partlists & Scope • Product structure is scope • Scope makes it possible to view the product structure (articles & concepts) from different conditions. Only the history tabs and the ECO info is scope independent. • 3 types of scope: • NOW • default, current valid structure • Date • structure valid at a date in the past • ECO • structure valid as result of the chosen ECO • Article find is scope dependent. • If the scope is set on e.g. an ECO you will only find articles that are present in the article pool(s) that are linked to the same project as to which the ECO is linked to.

  39. Create Architecture • There are 2 ways to create architecture from scratch • Go to the composition tab and insert new concepts • Open the configurator window and press the right mouse button with the mouse positioned in the Concept column and insert several concepts at once.

Create Partslist • There are 2 ways to implement articles to a concept • Go to the implementation tab and insert articles or • Open the configurator window and press right mouse button with the mouse positioned over the Concept to which the article is to be inserted to. • There is now only 1 way to configure a partlist • Open the configurator window and check the boxes of all articles to be used in the assembly being configured. Remark: All local articles can be implemented as an applied even if there is NO original available yet. Local articles that are only applied can never have a substructure (Can not be an assembly)
