  3. Importance of Presentations • Presentations are one of the most common forms evaluations in university. Professors like to use presentations because it encourages students to prove not only that they can understand the information learned in class, but also that they can apply that information and communicate it effectively. Presentation projects also encourage students to work together, making for collaborative learning. Presentations are also very common in the work-world. Many jobs will require presenting information to someone. It could be to co-workers or managers, for example, a proposal. It could also be to clients, for example, introducing a new service or product. It is very important, then, to make sure you can give a clear, effective presentation.
