Why Manassas Mall • First of all it’s a mall, so most of the people who go there will already be wanting to buy something, so will be much more likely to buy this as well • This is extra true compared to a normal store because people who go to a mall usually aren’t there to buy only one thing, thanks to the number of shops in the mall.
Why Manassas Mall • Manassas mall is in the center of a Forest region, and most of the people who live there live in their own home, not dorms or apartments. People who can afford their own home are usually older then 20, and are more likely to know how to cook, which makes this product perfect for them.
Why Next to Target • In Manassas Mall there are two places one would go to get kitchen utensils, Target and Wal-Mart. Target however is closer to the road and parking lot, so more people enter through there. This give people more of a chance to see it, as well as a place that sells it close by.
Image and Color • The poster is mostly white, with dark colors near the center, making it more noticeable. It also gives a clean feel to it, which it should because it is a piece of cooking equipment, which should be clean. • The image itself shows how sharp the knife is, being able to cut coconut. In the actual poster it will be a real picture, not just a sketch (though the background will still be pure white to keep the color affect.
Text • The Text is quick and to the point, perfect for people just walking by. It shows well on the white background, as well as being top center, where most people look first in a poster. • The bottom part also shows contact info for those who want to know more about the item, showing that there is more to this item then can be put on a poster.
Target Audiance • My target audience, as mentioned before, is older people who know how to cook. More preferably is older woman, who are commonly the cooks in most families. Anything else doesn’t matter, as long as it’s a cooking person.
Reaction • I imagine people will be quite interested in the poster, as a knife cutting a coconut is not something seen everyday. The people may look for this knife in a store to see it close up, which will make them more likely to buy.
Extra info • The size will be 20 x 24 inches, not too big, but not tiny. • The composition is simple and target like to draw the eyes from far away. • More then one poster should be put up in the mall, probably one near Wal-Mart if we can
