Which is called the “flower of the dead”. • They use the flowers for decoration by stringing string straws then attaching the flowers to the string. • Some girls make small flowers to put in there hair. • These flowers are very popular in weddings and parties.

Day of the dead facts • Flowers are an important decorative material and are used throughout the ceremonial cycle in Mexico. • Flowers are a good choice element for decoration at Dia de los Muertos. • Bright colored crepe paper and other heavier papers are used to make flowers for use on the altars. • It is important the flowers are real fragrant because the smell satisfy's the dead and communicates to the deceased the richness of the family's offering.
