Facts about Meal Skipping • Meal skippers had elevated fasting glucose levels and a delayed insulin response • Could lead to diabetes • Skipping a meal will not make up for eating too much or eating unhealthily • Skipping a meal does not change a food item’s health level, a Big Mac is still 540 calories whether or not you ate a meal beforehand • Consuming too much after skipping a meal could lead to health issues

In order for your body to have energy when it needs it- eat 3 balanced meals a day, with a few snacks in between • The body remains in a starvation mode until the next meal • When this next meal is eaten, the excess calories are stored as fat • Skipping a meal leads to a lower metabolism because it is trying to reserve energy More Facts…
