  1. Hurricanes – the worst natural disaster there is? Your task is to create an ‘idiots guide to Hurricanes’. Include: Causes of Hurricanes: A hand drawn labelled diagram of a mature hurricane. A map of the location of the World’s tropical storms (hurricanes have different names in different parts of the World). A clear explanation of the causes of Hurricanes (key words: eye, warm sea, 26 degrees, jet stream, late summer) Impacts of Hurricanes: Investigate TWO hurricanes, one in a rich country (USA?) and one in a poor country (India) and describe (with pictures) how hurricanes affect people in different ways. Why a poorer countries affected more? Hurricane Protection Hurricanes can cause a lot of damage to people’s homes. Imagine you work for the town council. Produce a poster giving at least 8 things people can do to protect their homes and family from the hurricane.
