  2. Our Story No Fuss Beauty is a multi-award-winning and forward-thinking, ethical skincare brand. We artisanally craft all of our products in small batches in the heart of the Midlands, England. We want to break the perception that organic beauty is only accessible for some people. We stay far away from unethical business practice and synthetic, chemical-derived skincare products and are instead driven to source our ingredients responsibly and from natural sources. We like to keep things simple, minimalistic and “non-fussy” meaning that you don’t need to have a complicated skincare routine to have healthy, radiant skin – or spend lots of time researching to find the right ingredients – we do all that for you; we’ve created clear labelling and packaging on all our products to keep things:

  3. Celebrate love shop our ethical cruelty free skincare gifts We believe that Valentine’s Day is not only a celebration of love for others; but a wonderful time of year to practice self-care for ourselves. It is a great opportunity to take care of our mind, body and spirit – whatever that means to you.

  4. 6 REASONS YOUR SKIN LOOKS DULL, TIRED & LIFELESS: Here are six reasons why your skin might be lacking the glow you are looking for, and simple ways you can help uplift and revitalise your skin: • Pollution from the external environment allows the build-up of free radicals on our skin, mix that in with a whole host of other products and our pores soak it all up! Using a natural moisturiser can help create a protective barrier between you and environment, replenish your skin with essential vitamins, and support in bringing skin back to life.

  5. Dead Skin Cells – Think of dead-cells like dust. Exfoliating on a regular basis with a natural scrub, such as coffee, pumice stone or charcoal will help to remove dead skin cells and leave skin smooth clean and fresh. • Stress – When we are stressed – cortisol rises. This kicks your body into fight or flight mode and depletes your skin of essential nutrients leading to dark circles, blemishes, breakouts, acne and inflammation to name some. You can help combat stress related skin concerns by making sure to unblock your pores as often as possible. We recommend taking bath or shower, cleansing by heating a wet towel over your face and then applying a natural daily moisturiser to replenish lost essential vitamins and minerals and help calm inflammation. • It’s a hormone thing! Many people find that their hormones fluctuate regularly throughout the month and this can affect the quality of our skin. Clay masks can help remove excess oil and deeply detox the skin. Consider the best time to apply a moisturiser – first thing in the morning after a shower for instance when your skin is clean will help to reduce pores from blocking and create a protective barrier between makeup and the external environment throughout the day. • Exhausted? If your tired, your skin most certainly is! Skin is the largest organ of our bodies, yet we often forget how to take of it. Our face is one of the first places signs of fatigue show up – however it can be a great indicator to reflect on our current lifestyle and attempt to recreate balance in our lives.

  6. Balance Your Skin Most of us devote a lot of energy in pursuit of balance. Busy schedules, juggling family and work life, whilst in pursuit of personal time and ensuring that we take care of ourselves and other people. When it comes to our skin however, it’s probably something we don’t pay a lot of attention to: Skin PH can trigger problematic conditions such as breakouts, acne, reactive, inflammed or even infected skin.

  7. Let’s talk about skin PH: what is it and why is it important?  PH, also known as the Acid Mantle is a measure of how acid or alkaline a substance is. Water is often measured as neutral (indicating that it’s not either acid or alkaline). It is important to ensure that our skin is well-balanced so that it is able to balance moisture, stay healthy, clean and process nutrients.

  8. What is a Normal Skin PH? Your skin has its own PH level – normally ranging from 4 – 6.5. If your PH is too acidic your body may not be able to fight off infection, as well as external and stress factors including pollution and toxins. If our PH is too acidic it can dehydrate the skin and cause irritation as well as bacteria growth. Our natural oils may be stripped away and the surface layer of our skin may be disrupted. Everything we put on our skin influences our skins PH. Our skin reacts and alters itself according to different substances it absorbs and comes into contact with, continually trying to rebalance itself. How quickly your skin can recover and achieve a “neutral state” will depend not only on your hormones and diet, but is heavily influenced by the kind of personal care products you use.

  9. Why is PH important? “Our bodies naturally seek equilibrium, and our skin being the largest organ attempts to fight off any harmful toxins. Skin is exposed to numerous yeasts, bacteria’s, moulds, viruses as well as pollution on a daily basis.” Hannah – Founder No Fuss  If your skin’s PH is out of balance, then your skin defences are incredibly susceptible to the external environment. Harmful, toxic bacteria and impurities freely build up on our skin, and our natural and healthy bacteria become inactive, resulting in a multitude of bad bacteria which multiply and saturate the skin. When your skin’s PH is within a “normal” healthy range and in a balanced state, your body’s natural immunity, the barriers of the skin protect incoming bacteria, yeast and infections, as well as stressors such as pollution, irritants and allergens which can be found in many synthetic and chemical-derived skincare products.
