Analysis • Write shotlist for a sequence, describing how the camera has been used. Production stills can help with this. • Read the director’s notes, or listen to crew commentary • Write a film review. You could record it as an oral review.
Analysis • Re-edit a sequence for different effect (clips provided) • Compare final with earlier edit of a sequence • Try a sequence with different music • Write a new narration for a sequence
Production • Can be a plan or include some videoing and editing as well. • Treatment of same topic in different ways: serious/humorous, mockumentary, corporate training, docudrama, advertisement, community service announcement, told from an alternative point of view
Production Same treatment/genre/style with a different topic or extension of same topic – plan another episode – interview people who may have a new perspective on the topic
