4. What is “class?” • Class = a way to describe how much money or power a person has in society.

6. Classes when class = money* • Upper Class • High income + a lot of wealth • Middle Class • Average income + average wealth • Average income in the US: $50,000 a year • Lower Class • Low income + little or no wealth
