Review of dh+lib Dh+lib was inspired by a desire to create a community for people to discuss the future of digital humanities and libraries Dh+lib is hosted by ACRL on the Word Press site (http://acrl.ala.org/dh/) and can be viewed by the public Dh+lib is a user curated blog Participants and contributors include grad students, librarians, archivists and other information specialists Launched in November 2012 Dh+lib follows 167 feeds
Editors At Large • There are three main content editors and a series of rotating volunteer editors referred to as ‘Editors-at-Large” • Editors sign up for weekly shifts (actually 6 days) • Volunteers accepted at (http://acrl.ala.org/dh/contact-us/contribute/Dh+ • Editors are able to access all the aggregated content from the feeds via this feature • Dh+lib uses the Press Forward application for WordPress to allow editors back end access to the blog
Criteria For Review • Recommended • As the title implies this category is for posts that would be of vital importance; articles, scholarship and research • Digital Projects • This category is for both new digital projects and ones with a lasting impact on the community • Posts • Not as vital as recommended posts but still of interest • Resources • This can include anything from papers, grants, to tools. • Calls for Papers • Calls for papers, projects, participation, etc. • Job Announcements • Specifically related to digital humanities and libraries • Funding and Opportunities • Not jobs or calls for anything but still offer important opportunities
