Task: TASK… • You are to create a Babushka Doll finger puppet • You are to write a simple step by step instruction as you complete the doll. • Instructions must be clear and easy to follow • You may make one by yourself or with a partner. • Use the following slides to help you create your doll.

  3. You will need… • Several pieces of wool felt/material in whatever colours you fancy • fabric glue • Marker or penwith a fine tip • sharp scissors (this will make all the difference in cutting out precise shapes) • Design template • Needle and thread

  4. research and answer … Once completed research and answer the following (you MUST answer all questions in full sentences) Self Reflection: • What did you find difficult about this activity? • How did you overcome problems that arose? • Did you enjoy this task? Why or why not? • How would you teach a primary school aged child to make this doll? Cultural Significance: • What country does this ‘doll’ come from • What is the meaning/ significance behind it • How would you incorporate this toy into a childcare setting? • What are other child friendly activities that you could also do when learning about this culture? Developmental Areas: • For each of the developmental areas come up with an activity that will use your finger puppet
