  2. Willis Havilland Carrier was born in Angola, New York on November 26, 1876

  3. In 1901 Willis Havilland Carrier graduated from Cornell University with a masters degree in Engineering

  4. Only one year after Willis Carrier graduated the first AC unit was working

  5. In 1906 the apparatus for treating air patent was granted to Carrier

  6. In 1915, Carrier formed the Carrier Engineering Corporation

  7. In 1921 Carrier patented the centrifugal refrigeration machine which was the first good method to cool large areas

  8. In 1928, Willis Carrier developed the first air conditioner for homes

  9. During the Great Depression the air conditioner for personal use sales dropped drastically
